Description of Assignment:
Working under the direction of the Technical Lead and Project Manager, the Developer will contribute to the Design, Development, Testing and Implementation Stages of the Work Management project.
Candidate deliverables (or tasks) include:
Designing and developing reports, Oracle packages/stored procedures, map views, and data conversion as assigned in accordance with defined requirements
Creating data dictionaries
Performing unit testing on all developed objects per project standards
Supporting system testing
Documenting work as required by project
Participating in project status discussions, notifying development lead of risks or issues related to assignments
Providing weekly project time reporting to PM team using established timesheet system
Completing all assigned work following internal standards where available
Required Skills and Experience:
The Developer should be proficient in the use of the following tools:Oracle 10g
Crystal 11 / 2008
TOAD
IIS 6.0
PL/SQL
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Visio
Visual Source Safe (or equivalent)
Business Objects (BO-XI) (desirable but not required
The Developer should have the following skills, abilities and knowledge areas:
3 yrs experience developing Crystal reports
3 yrs experience with Oracle
3 yrs experience translating software application requirements into design
Good understanding of relational data structures
General understanding of the software development life cycle
Technical Writing
Ability to quickly learn business applications
Good attention to detail
Experience providing status reports on a regular basis.
Experience working with test results documentation and fault reports to make system corrections
Ability to work independently
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience with work management or other similar business applications is desirable, but not required. Prior professional consulting experience highly desirable. Prior experience working in a project environment highly desirable. Knowledge of the Hansen Work Management product and GIS applications would be a bonus but is not required.
