Where has the year gone to?
Posted On 12/18/2008 20:12:36 by wolfiesfavorite1

Hi Everyone,

With our year's worth of time coming to a close, I felt that offering a venue for reflection and reassessing how successfully we accomplished the goals we made at the start of 2008, might be of benefit to some.

Obviously, we all realize the purpose of setting goals and having our 'To Do' list in front of us before we start each day, but, after listening to a rather inspirational speaker...I've decided to take him up on keeping a 'To Not Do' list. Because it makes sense...if I want to eliminate a bad habit, I need to replace it with a good habit and that can be done by keeping that bad habit in front of me and in my conscious mind so that I can keeping thinking(reminding myself) about how I don't want that bad habit-I want this good habit.

So, with that said (seems simple enough in theory) I'll start....

  • my bookkeeping skills improved because of more organizational responsibility-still would rather increase the income to the point of hiring someone-maybe for '09.
  • setting priorities for result-producing activities was improved upon and, lastly..
  • eliminate procrastination(tied in with the first two, somewhat)

The challenge for me is not to overcompensate - kind of like the space shuttle has to make lots of little course corrections in order to reenter the atmosphere-I have to focus on measuring, monitoring, adjusting and controlling my course through the year if i want to meet my goals.

How about you..
